AFTER CHEKHOV

Continuing our commitment to new writing-led theatre, Little London Theatre Company presents four contemporary writers and their take on Anton Chekhov on the 100th anniversary year of his death.

“There are no hidden meanings! There is no sub-text! A lake is a lake! A samovar is a samovar!…”

Alan Drury, Martin James, Andrew Neil and Olwen Wymark have drawn from his short stories, plays and personal letters. The result is AFTER CHEKHOV.

Veteran actor Leonard Fenton (best known for his portrayal of Dr Legg in EastEnders) directs an impressive ensemble ranging from their 20s to their 80s.

AFTER CHEKHOV…because he died in 1904. A hundred years later, four of our writers give us their take on the master dramatist and short story writer.

Original music by Tom de Keyser.

Cast includes: Anna Barry, Martin Jago, Stewart Marquis, Alexander McConnell, Andrew Neil, Gilbert Vernon, Kyra Williams and Tracey Wood.
