ABOUT

Little London Theatre Company was founded in 1998 by Alexander McConnell and Kyra Williams with the help of Sir Derek Jacobi and Richard Wilson, among others, to provide a platform for new writing-led theatre.

Previous productions have included: Held, by Rhian Green at the Soho Theatre; A State of Grace by Alan Drury, directed by Keith Washington also at the Soho Theatre; To The Mountain by Trevor Griffiths, directed by Tamara Hinchco; A Date to Remember, written by Brian Pitt, Lesley Ross, Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, directed by Steve Marmion; Got The Map? by Ben Goodman and directed by Anna Barry; The Glowing Manikin by Kerstin Specht directed by Jeanette Smith; The Other Chekhov – new translations of 4 Chekhov shorts commissioned from Martin Jago, Olwen Wymark, Andrew Neil and Alan Drury; Nevsky Prospectors, based on short stories by Tolstoy and Gogol adapted by Ben Goodman; True For Ever and George VI in Heaven (Given There’s a God) by Andrew Neil; Bottlenecks (King's Head) written and directed by Andrew Neil, the 25th anniversary production of The Man Himself by Alan Drury directed by Sebastian Graham-Jones; The Usual Table also by Alan Drury and directed by Sebastian Graham-Jones.

ALEXANDER  MCCONNELL

Trained at the RWCMD. Recent theatre includes: Constellations (Welsh tour), The Choice, Homestead (503), When The Last Bird Flies (503), Encouragement For The Would Be Poisoner (WAV Ventura, Ca), A State of Grace (Soho), To The Mountain, After Chekhov (Soho), Bottlenecks (King's Head and Merlin Theatre, Budapest), Speaking in Tongues, 4 one man plays by Alan Drury and his version of The Man With the Flower in His Mouth, Afters, The Bear, True For Ever, Spending The Pension (Old Red Lion) and Got the Map? (Finborough). Films include: A World After, Alien Dawn, Valiant. Various commercials, voiceovers and audiobooks.

KYRA WILLIAMS

Trained at the RWCMD. Theatre credits include: Miniaturists 52 (Arcola), A New Way to Pay Old Debts (Rose Theatre), Swallows and Amazons (Bristol Old Vic), Airswimming (Glassy Essence Theatre Co), The Norman Conquests, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Bedroom Farce, Little Shop of Horrors (various seasons at the Torch Theatre), Ashputtel (Forest Forge), All’s Well That Ends Well (UK and European Tour with Theatre Set-Up), Cosima (Salisbury Playhouse and Basingstoke Rep), Abigail’s Party (UK Touring Theatre) and Mollie in The Mousetrap (West End). Kyra is a co-founder of The Little London Theatre Company and has created roles in new plays and new adaptations of The Stronger (Landor), Starters (Tristan Bates), After Chekhov (Soho Theatre), Once Upon a Time in Tring (Soho Theatre and Merlin Theatre, Budapest) and Got The Map? (Finborough). Films include: A World After, Happy Birthday Jim, Our Secret World. TV: Downton Abbey Christmas special and various commercials. Radio: Tender is the Night. She has provided voices for the video game Zombies, Run! and also narrated two documentaries about childhood poverty for Moonwatcher Media.

LILA CLEMENTS

Lila is a stage and screen actor, singer and voice over artist. Born and raised in Dundee, Lila went on to train at Rose Bruford College, and has been delighting audiences with her work ever since.

She recently joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in A Midsummer Nights Dream, playing Moth as well as understudying and playing Helena and Hippolyta on many occasions.

With an affinity for new work; Lila played Suzanne in the off-West End World Premiere of a new production of Therese Raquin at the Finborough Theatre in London and the following transfer to The Park Theatre. She also created the role of Bridget in the professional premier of Howard Goodall’s musical The Kissing Dance in its off-West End production in 2011.

Her natural Scottish lilt has also made her a much sought-after voice over3 artists, lending her voice to clients as diverse as National Lottery, B&Q, Dorothy Perkins, David Lloyd Gyms and BBC 3/Kudos.

In her spare time, Lila performs in concerts for hospital patients in and around London. She regularly works at St. George’s in Tooting and with the charity Music in Hospitals, often learning songs patents have requested – sometimes even in Hindi!
